What is a Sur Ron?
The Sur Ron is a lightweight electric bike that sits between a mountain bike and a dirt bike. It’s quiet, quick off the line and easy to throw around, which makes it a favourite for Bali’s dirt tracks, rice-field lanes and trails. There are no gears and no clutch — you twist and go — but the power arrives fast, so it rewards riders who already have two-wheel experience.
Because it’s electric, there’s no engine noise through the villages and no petrol stops to plan around. You charge it overnight from a normal wall socket using the charger we provide with every rental.

Sur Ron Ultra Bee 2025
The bigger, faster Sur Ron with a 74 V battery.

Delivery & pickup
We bring the bike and charger to your villa or hotel, show you how it rides, and take your ID and deposit. When you’re finished, message us and we collect it.
Charging & range
A full charge takes about 6 hours — best overnight. Depending on how you ride, you will get 100 km+ on a charge. More: charging · range.
Requirements
- A clear photo of your passport
- A refundable deposit, held for the length of the rental
- Minimum age 18
- You read and sign our rental agreement before you ride
Insurance & liability: No insurance or damage waiver is included or available. The bikes are supplied for off-road use, and you are responsible for the full cost of repairing or replacing the bike if it is damaged, lost or stolen while it is in your care. Ride within your ability and look after it as if it were your own. Check that your own travel or health insurance covers riding a bike of this type — many policies do not.

Is a Sur Ron good for beginners?
It’s best for riders already confident on two wheels. The lighter Light Bee is the more manageable of our two models, but any Sur Ron needs some experience — tell us your riding history and we’ll advise honestly, including saying no.
How far will it go on a charge?
