Sur Ron Charging in Bali
Charging a Sur Ron in Bali is straightforward: it uses a standard wall socket and the charger we supply with every rental.
The basics
- Bali mains is 230V, and sockets are the European two-round-pin type. The charger we provide is set up for this.
- You charge at your accommodation, usually overnight.
- Keep the charger and battery out of the rain and somewhere ventilated, not in direct sun.
Charge time and range
A full charge takes about 6 hours, which is why we recommend charging overnight while you sleep — you wake up to a full battery. Depending on how you ride, a charge is good for 100 km or more. Practical tips
- Plug in when you get back rather than letting it sit empty.
- Plan longer rides around where you can stop — charging options away from your accommodation are limited, so treat the range you have as the range you have.
- If you are renting for a week or more and staying somewhere with unreliable power, tell us — it affects how you should plan charging.
- Never force a damaged charger or wet connector. Message us instead.
Removable battery
The battery can be removed from the bike, so you can bring it inside to charge if that is easier than charging the whole bike — handy in a villa with the power point indoors. Ask us to show you how on handover.
